Frequently Asked Questions
What time does Serve Day start?
Meet at Crossroads at 8:15 AM for your shirt, prayer, and team huddle. Teams head to locations around 9:00 AM and wrap up by noon.
Will lunch be provided?
Yes — lunch is delivered to each project location around noon. No need to bring your own food.
Will there be water available?
Yes! Each location will have coolers stocked with water and electrolyte beverages. You're also welcome to bring your own water bottle.
Can I bring my kids?
Many locations are family friendly — check the difficulty level and indoor/outdoor tag on each card. Childcare is available for ages 6 weeks – 3 years (registration required).
How long will it take?
About 3 hours. Projects run 9:00 AM – noon. Teams that finish early can head home or help another location.
What should I wear?
Clothes you don't mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes. You'll get your Serve Day shirt when you arrive at church.
Should I bring supplies or tools?
If you have supplies you think could be helpful, reach out to Pastor Ashlee and she'll connect you with your team lead the week of the event. All resources that help accomplish our mission are welcome.
What happens if there's bad weather?
Rain won't stop us — but lightning will! We'll have a plan in place if weather becomes an issue. Your team lead will send updates and alternative plans if needed, so make sure your contact info is correct when you register.
What if I get sick or can't make it?
Let your team lead know as soon as possible. Contact the church office if you need help finding their information.
What if my location fills up?
Browse the other locations — spots fill fast so register early. There's something for every ability level.
