What is the Discipleship Walk?
In a nutshell, the Discipleship Walk is a 3-day weekend experience designed to draw individuals into a deeper more intimate relationship with the Lord. The Discipleship Walk strives to provide a setting where individuals can literally unplug from their daily lives, remove the distractions of home and work in order to focus on their relationship with the Lord. The environment created on each weekend allows participants to experience God’s love in tangible ways. During the three days, individuals deepen their discipleship skills and are better equipped to live as modern day disciples of Jesus. Participants then go back to where they came from with the desire, knowledge and tools necessary to make a difference in their world. Many who have attended consider this weekend as one of the most meaningful experiences of their life. The Discipleship Walk is similar to the Cursillo, Walk to Emmaus and Great Banquet movements but has a greater focus on discipleship.
What does the Discipleship Walk cost?
The cost of the weekend is $200, which includes lodging, meals, and transportation from Crossroads Church. We never want funds to stand in the way of anyone attending the Walk and therefore scholarships may be available. What should I bring with me?
A detailed list of items will be sent after your registration is complete. Essentially, you will need to bring your own linens, towel, washcloth, sheets and blanket (or sleeping bag), pillow, toiletries, jacket, and your Bible (paper). No need to bring money; there won’t be anything to spend money on.
Where is the Walk held?
The walk is held at Saint Joseph Retreat and Conference Center.
The walk was amazing. I not only reconnected with God but I connected deeper with a great group of fellow believers. I learned a lot about the word, the struggles and victories we all face, and about myself. I was blown away by all the love I felt from others. I’ve never witnessed such a level of service.
